STAFF TRAINING & CPD
The Animate Arts team has years of experience in delivering high-quality, impactful and inspiring development training and CPD workshops for your staff.
We understand that everybody has different levels of experience and knowledge in creative subjects, so we have designed our sessions with this in mind, to leave no-one behind and to develop art skills to use in the classroom and around the school.
Each session is run by a professional artist who specialises in the chosen art form, and they will offer a range of basic skills and further ideas to use with your pupils.
Staff training workshops by Animate Arts are FUN (yes that’s really important!), full of discussion and ideas sharing, practical and interactive.

How We Deliver Our Staff Training & Cpd
The sessions can be delivered in staff meetings to teachers and TAs (1.5 hours) – perfect for Twilight; or for INSET Development days (half and whole days).

CPD Workshops
3D
This session will introduce you to the wonderful world of willow. Learn how to create giant, light-weight sculptures from natural materials. This amazing material can help you to create displays, costumes and even lit-up sculptures with only a few simple techniques.
CLAY!
DRAW!
A practical workshop with a visual artist who champions the valuable skills of co-ordination, concentration, analysis and communication through the act of drawing. This friendly session is perfect for those who feel under-confident to bring drawing into lessons.
DISPLAY!
How can you transform your classroom and other spaces into inspiring environments - and on a budget? This brilliant and resourceful session is full of low-cost & high-impact ideas aimed at inspiring teachers to use-up old materials from stock and bring a new look to your school!
DRAMA!
A friendly workshop, full of drama games and activities that will increase teachers' confidence and ability to bring curriculum subjects to life. Drama can be a powerful teaching tool when pupils need a confidence boost or you need to make tricky topics accessible to your students.
PRINT!
Printing is a brilliant medium to study letters/writing and numbers/maths. This session will explore different techniques and materials to build your own block-stamps to use in art, literacy or numberacy lessons.
BESPOKE!
DESIGN YOUR OWN CPD
Schools are welcome to get in touch to design your own CPD. We are happy to work with you to tailor-make a bespoke CPD training according to your staff’s needs, either as a 1.5 hour workshop, or a half or full INSET day.
